UNI CARD GOLD X VS SCAPIA VS NIYO GLOBAL SBM CREDIT CARD

Hi everyone,


I’m planning an international trip soon and looking to apply for a credit card that offers zero forex markup, its should be lifetime free, and must come with maximum benefits. After doing some research, I’ve shortlisted the following options:

1. SBM UniX Gold Card
   I read that this card offers 1% cashback in gold. If anyone here is using it, could you please share your experience? Specifically:
   • Is the 1% cashback truly credited in gold?
   • Are there any hidden charges, redemption challenges, or cashback capping?
   • How practical is the benefit in real-world usage?
2. Federal Bank Scapia Credit Card
3. Niyo Global SBM Credit Card

If you have used any of these cards, I’d love to hear your insights on:

• Ease of international usage
• Customer service experience
• Hidden fees or markups
• Overall value and reliability

Any feedback, suggestions, or comparisons would be highly appreciated before I make a final decision. Looking forward to your thoughts!

In case of Uni Card, you get 1% cashback on offline spends as uni coins and then you can either buy gold or voucher on the app.

If you are frequent traveler, you need 2 CC and 2 DC i.e. backup is required..You cannot rely on single card...I have
DC:
1. IIB Signature VISA
2. Niyo (Backup)

CC:
1. Scapia
2. Uni

Uni give uni coins...Through their app, you can convert it into gold.

• Ease of international usage: All 4 are easy to use
• Customer service experience: Do not expect great customer service
• Hidden fees or markups: NO HIDDEN fees in IIB, Scapia and Uni...Only in Niyo, you need to maintain AQB of Rs 5000 for free debit card...Niyo also charge around 500 Rs for withdrawal which is reversed as Niyo coins for 3 transactions in a quarter or month (Do not remember exactly as i use occasionally)
• Overall value and reliability: In terms of reliability, I will rate IIB and scapia as 1st and Niyo & Uni is only for backup

All are free cards. Chances are you might not get all 3 cards. So whichever card you get, its good for you.

So start applying and see which card you can get. If you get multiple cards - you can keep them or close later as well 🙂

Scapia if you are eligible otherwise uni in my opinion.

Applied for Scapia card yesterday and it got approved within 5mins. Already holding Celesta card from Federal Bank since last 6 months, before that I was holding Rupay Signet variant which I got it closed due to poor limit.
