Yes apay card is a no brainer for 1% now gone

HDFC Swiggy gives 1% upto 500/- for education spends, in case if it helps !!

HDFC Tata Neu Infinity CC gives 1.5% CB on education fee payment also. I paid directly on the institution website and got it. Not sure about education fee payment through apps.

Don't know whether private institutions charge any convenience fee for education fee payment using CC. But, Govt. Institutions charge convenience fee for payment using CC.

Decide based on the net benefit.

No, you can pay utility bills on Amazon app and only those trxs within the app will remain eligible for cashback. You will get 2%

They took the 1% cashback on internantional transaction and changed the forex to just 1.99%

BTW hdfc millenia has a quarterly milestone benefit. i.e., spend 1L in a quarter, get 1K AGV which makes rewards on edu fee even sweeter with effective CB as 2%. I have been doing this for the past 1 year, my kid's fee is ~80K , I clock the rest ~20K on AGVs and hit the milestone.
