American Express (AmEx) Pauses All New Card Applications 🚨🚨

Seems like AmEx wants to pause and look back into what they've been doing.
They're pausing all new applications for the time being, probably for the next few months under the reason 'strategic business transformations'.



This does not affect current users but only the new applications.

They've been getting dragged for a decline in their quality of customer support, lack of new offers and the overall card value going down.
Do you think they will introspect all of it and come back even better and stronger?

Yaa .. probably... It's just that I was planning to apply for a year and jumped in when I heard the news. It was like keeping me on the edge with all this uncertainty and complaints 😅. When it got rejected again on the 90th day, it wasn't fun 😂

Retention offer nothing at all. For plat chg they keeps stating o20lakhs spend for it....

@BestBanker helped me get the card in Patna a couple of months back.

and currently they have removed the waiver of annual fee from their policy by any means. Earlier they used to offer to spend X amount in 90 days for the waiver, now no option, so closed the card.

Edit: for gold card, credit cards still have spent based reversal

Corp Cards are already sourced from these cities. So I believe, if you are from these cities, you should not face any issues.

Moreover, there are always ways to get card in unserviceable location. You will be bombarded with them once application starts again.

It's just a matter of a week or two 🥳
