First figure out how axis is giving you rewards.

Axis is giving due to the MCC not being excluded, if the mcc is in inclusions of HSBC then it will give as well.

Else it won't, just because it's travel card doesn't mean every card will work the same way.

In short, first figure out the mcc after doing transaction and calling customer care. Once you get the mcc then match it with the exclusions in the T&C.

Once you do all this, you will reach to the final conclusion along with many learnings.

Atlas gives accelerated EMs for hotels and airline MCCs (which maximise gives in some instances). HSBC has no such feature. HSBC cards give accelerated rewards only for hotel airline bookings done via their own portal

People often get confused with Atlas and HSBC cards and their features. HSBC cards are more comparable to HDFC smartbuy or Ishop, which give accelerated points only when used on their own portal

HSBC travelone card gives 2 reward points for every 100 rupees on normal spends and 4 reward points for 100 rupees for Airlines and travel aggregators. I think the question do we get additional rewards oweing to travel aggregators MCC.

The website says "Earn 4 reward points for every INR100 spent on flights, travel aggregators and in foreign currency" so probably not. But I guess OP was asking for this clarification.

HSBC Travel one gives accelerated rewards not just thier own portal but certain MCC.
