Recently travelled to Nandi Hills Bangalore and Stayed in JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa which is Marriott Bonvoy property located on the foot of Nandi Hills and near to Bangalore Airport also. You have a good view of Nandi Hills and Skandagiri Hills. The property is a well built resort with approximately 300 rooms and has an Golf course and Prestige Group villas adjacent to it. They even have the name sharing as JW Marriott Bengaluru Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa.

Experience:
- This property was chosen just to enjoy the time over there and booking was under Marriott Bonvoy point redemption. This is my first visit to the property. I love to stay at Marriott Bonvoy properties as they offer good value for me as I am Gold Elite Member and as usual they offered me Complimentary Breakfast for me and my family. As the booking was made not well in advance and plan was sudden had to book it on premium. Usually costs around 22000 MR points to 30000 MR points for the base room. It costed for me around 28K MR Points. This property gives you the point value more than 1 Rupee on all days as per observation and will be a excellent redemption choice for Amex MR points.
But Please note there are some off days (High demand days) points might fall to 0.7 Rupee per MR point, which is also a decent deal with the property experience we get. But I suggest you to redeem at 1MR=1 Rupee.
Check- In:
- During Check in I have requested them for upgrade and they accepted the upgrade and offered me Garden Terrace which was a slight upgrade as the property was full as there was some politician from Andhra booked some high category rooms for their Internal Meetings. Even though room package didn't include Complimentary Breakfast, on Request and As I am Gold Elite member, they have considered and offered me complimentary breakfast which is not usual at older Marriott Properties these days. That was a good soft experience. BTW They offered me an upgrade to Presidential Villa for Rs. 250000 (or 200000 MR Points) and I don't have both with me so I denied 😋😋. That 200000 MR points can be utilized in much more well manner for more experiences.
- Overall Checkin process was smooth and the property was very calm and peaceful with stunning Nandi Hills, Skandagiri Hills and Golf Course View.

A good garden terrace attached to the room.
As it was my spouse birthday week (not exact birthday) and I mentioned during booking and check in, so they have decorated the room and arrange a cake & savouries.
Restaurant and Swimming Pool:
They have around 3 restaurants and a small cafe also. They have Pool side event stages and you can have pool parties there. Some corporate event was also happening the day we stayed there. Evening they provide Painting activities, High Tea with snacks. They have couple of swimming pools.
This is the restaurant where Buffet Breakfast happens. (The Aviary)
They are setting up a Marriott Bonvoy Elite Lounge (separate experience setup) for food for Marriott Bonvoy (Gold Elite and Above members). Which is not ready yet.
Other Amenities Include:
- Short Golf Course
- Separate Villas for Each Spa Session
- Kids Activities, Some Adults Sports and Games (Archery, Cycling, Table Tennis, Snooker, Bowling Alley, Carroms) & Entertainment Zone
- Nandi Hills Trek
- Skandagiri Hills Trek and much more..

They might offer some discounts for Marriott Bonvoy Members. I haven't tried it, but visited the Spa Villa and I was amazed by the Ambience on offer. (**Spa Price List is Attached)
Interesting Info:
This property is mostly used by celebrities for their weddings and events, similar to JW Marriott Mussoorie & Sheraton Grand Mahabalipuram. I have heard from the hotel staff that high end businessmen & Celebrities from Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana visit this property very often. The Property has Presidential Suites which had Elite Guest like MS Dhoni and some other prominent guests.
Final Verdict:
We have chosen this property just to have convenience of having some leisure time to explore the property. Overall a luxurious & pleasant experience to have a good view of Nandi Hills and Property. I always have WOW feeling walking out of Marriott Properties. They never disappoints me. I am also Gold Elite on Accor but they don't bring in value for me. But Marriott always amazes me.
My suggestion would be if you want to relax and experience the best of JW Marriott and good deal (1MR = Rs.1) this is a stellar option.
