I am planning to book an airticket using hdfc regalia gold card , in the statement i saw that as a part of regalia gold card - HDFC ergo insurance is provided for travel .

It says ticket purchased via hdfc regalia gold but never mentioned which portal whether its hdfc smartbuy or any other portal ?

Anyone tried using or claiming their insurance which is provided as a part of regalia ? I was wondering whether i should use this as travel insurance backup for my travels.

I did not try for it, but had a recent email discussion with them and it's a travel policy for baggage delay, flight cancelation and other benefits. You can ask calling their customer care and recheck because as per my understanding it should be via smartbuy only.
