This is a gentle push for more spends. Initially they gave 2 rounds of referral benefits to onboard customers. Now they want to clock more number of txns, which is quite evident from the 499*5 upi etc milestones .

Yes they r forcing people to spend more in 1% & 5% category. Otherwise many people like me who use this card only for the 10% category spends may have to wait for 2-3 months to redeem the jewels into statement credit

No value is same 5j=Rs.1. But statement credit is better anyday. U can buy the same Apay GV for 10% discount with that same money. For Jupiter, this statement credit is costing a lot because it is real cash whereas they get Apay at heavy discount directly from Amazon

Let's say the statement bill is 10000. Of which cashback worth jewels is 1000. So if I choose statement credit, can I pay the balance 9000 via any method, like from Mobikwik for example?

Few 3rd party apps like mobiqwik/ Cred still dont have the option to pay CSB Edge CC bill. CSB has recently onboarded on bbps so it may take some time for it to be available on mobiqwik. U can pay the bill through Slice account for extra cashback. I do the same

Wont call it stupid but yes it is through the same fire game.😅 The trick is to pay the bill in parts in slice. Means if u have 20k bill on a CC then pay 5k 4 times. This way u can play the fire games 4 times and have more chances of getting some decent cashback

ultimately that "fire" is lottery which highly rigged against the user. if I have to pay in parts, I would rather pay that 20K in 55 parts and get 110, confirmed.

If you have HDFC old platinum DC then schedule auto pay.

There's a limit. After 5-6 fire games on the same CC bill they stop giving any cashback. It is less CB but still I m happy to get something instead of getting the useless coins/chips in Cred/Cheq. The other day one TF member paid around 80k bill on Cred and got zero CB.
