Monthly Income and Employment status: combined monthly income :13 lakhs Self employed/employed at my own business combined 26 monthly
Monthly Expenses & Spending Patterns: 40k on grocery
12k on fuel
65k on insurances
12k on medicine
8k clothing
8k on nykaa
8k Dining out/ entertainment
2.5k on gas bill
3k Broadband/phone bill monthly
1.25 lakh plus monthly gst
20k plus Upi spends
Above all were monthly
2 to 4 lakh(yearly) miscellaneous spends on electronic etc 50k travelling/ hotel

Cibil score: 800 for wife / 750 for me

Preferences for Credit Card Features: I want a good credit card stack that helps me maximize my credit card points/cashback

Lounge Access Required: yes

Notes: I have good banking relationship with all banks. I was thinking of thinking of getting me and my wife both sbi phonepe black cc as its give flat 10 percent cashback and also 2 biz black for gst and then I was getting airtel axis credit card plus idfc power plus for broadband bills and fuel spends. I was also thinking of getting Marriott bonvoy credit card for income tax payment and yes bank kiwi for upi. Now my main question shall I take infinia and epm both? Because I was thinking I will do my grocery clothing medicine using vouchers on infinia and buy the apay vouchers and get epm for apay vouchers but the information on internet is confusing they are saying you can only buy 12k amazon pay vouchers monthly but i wanna know can I buy more if I don't care about the accelerated reward points ? Also next year onwards my son will be in college and will be renting a place probably along with education spends suggest a card for that expense too?
Note : I have substantial amount of mutual fund in demat which I can use for meeting trv if necessary

You need combination of Infinia + EPM + Biz Black + UPI card

Try to take all of them. As a strategy, target EPM + Biz Black first since your profile can easily get you these cards. Infinia, I am not sure (may be easy if ITR > 60 Lakhs)

One Axis card is also good to have, but with your spend patterns, Magnus Burgundy may not be required immediately - But next year for education spends and rent upto 50K per month, M4B is the best deal

26L monthy income is after above exp?
No its net income I and wife take home but it for now mostly goes into sip nearly 5 lakhs monthly plus I took out a loan to buy a business and other ventures so 17 lakh plus is monthly emi

You can't use Apay vouchers to pay electricity bills above 15K on Amazon. So chasing Apay vouchers is of no use.

You can use Biz Black upto 75k per month directly. However beyond that biz black also charges 1.18% extra

Do you have any recommendations to save / earn on utility Bill then?

Now my main question shall I take infinia and epm both?

Yes. Bingo. Sans any doubt.
Take Infinia and EPM both for yourself and your wife + add-on cards for yourself and your wife and your son. All cards with different card numbers linked to different mobile numbers. Thus, there will be 6 cards for your family of 3.

Thus, you will have total of two cards each for yourself and your wife - Infinia + EPM Add-on OR EPM + Infinia Add-on - and two cards for your son - Infinia + EPM add-on. Also, align your monthly cycle so that your statement is due on 1st/2nd of each month so the monthly expenditure and the card billing cycle coincide. This way, you can maximise all the monthly/statement/billing cycle limits etc - like 5x RPs by buying Apay vouchers on Smartbuy portal (10k per Infinia card per month i.e. 30k for 3 Infinia cards per month) and in a similar vein for EPM on their portal, etc. With these vouchers, you can pay utilities, groceries, etc as per their respective card limits and T&C.

Also, the education fees of your son will also get you normal RPs if you make transactions through the institute's POS or website, within their monthly limits. And with two potent add-ons (Infinia + EPM) he will be on a sure footing to start his own life and credit card tales.

Both these cards will effectively be LTF as you will have adequate expenses on both to meet their waiver criteria, as per their T&C.

Almost 90% of your monthly expenses as mentioned by you can be covered through these two cards + their add-ons (total 6 cards in your family of 3).

The only exceptions will be
  • UPI spends (for which you can check out so many Rupay LTF cards in the market, as per your liking, like Kiwi, PhonePe, etc).
  • Fuel spends (12k per month as you mentioned) for which I would recommend a fuel card like BPCL SBI Octane (which gives 6.25% on fuel + gas and 2.5% on offline grocery, dining, movies etc; check this thread here) or any other such fuel card, as per your requirements.
  • IT payments (for which Amex Platinum Travel can be used, for handsome rewards; see this thread here).
  • Spillovers from the respective card limits for optimum RPs (5x, 10x, etc).

So, as I see it, Infinia + EPM is a very potent combination. Both offer excellent and similar rewards, and the combination + add-on cards can be optimally utilised for you and your family.

So, I recommend you going for both these cards, ab-initio, and then later - say after 5-6 months, after due spend analysis - getting some other card (like Biz Black, Amex Plat Travel, BPCL SBI Octane, etc), if you feel you are unable to optimise your spends with these two, and need another card(s).

Hope this helps. 🙂
