to upgrade to hsbc premier from hsbc normal salary account .. do we need 3L + salary credit .. only post which hsbc does or they can do before it as well ? let say if someone was getting borderline salary and is getting increment .. his salary will be above 3L .. so need to wait till new updated salary credit or can do before it as well

You can get it before that as well but it shouldn't be very far in the future.
I heard somewhere within 2 or 3 months you need to start getting 3L+ salary.


I opened premier on the basis of existing salary slip which was less than 3L net salary and then I gave increment letter as well which was showing net salary more than 3L starting from 1 month later.

So first salary credit was less than 3L and later on it was more than 3L.

Travelone is a points based card, you should not redeem for cash. You will get the highest value as 1 accor point, in cash terms, you will get 31p

Depends, if you book domestic flights, you will get less value. If there is some point based airlines, you will get more value. Domestic flights don't have points

They match price if all conditions are same ( Cancellation,baggage,...)

I matched price difference of 6000x2 = 12K and got travel credit within 1 day

i actually did hotel price matching,,,, need to call them and give them booking ref no,,,they will only ask which website u found better price,,,i said hotels.com and they would then check and would say Yes if all conditions are same... they also credit instantly if difference is below certain amount ...if difference is higher then senior person verifies it .... it took maybe 10 mins only for me to submit claim and got credit next day

+ point is that i booked hotel and got 36% back on the travel credit which i would use later on flight which is only 18%

Looks like HSBC has put a cap on price match now. You'll only get max 1500 back
