Apply for Singapore Vietnam Thailand Hong Kong and Philippines visa

I just handed over the passport, hard copy and return ticket. The formalities were done in a minute. Also, the counters are well organized now compared to my previous trips. They have e-passport scanning while returning. Sadly India just started it. So we have to go to manual stamping counter. Only Indians and some Africans went to that counter 😢 Hope my next renewal is e-passport!!!

Why do you want e-passport, you don't like collecting stamps? hehe

This. I dislike Singapore's egates only because I don't get stamps. I agree it's seamless still getting stamp is more important to me. And this is the reason I won't enroll with fti-ttp as long as it's optional.

A passport without stamps is no better than having no passport.

I am okay to collect just few stamps while on tourism with family. But I prefer e-gates and less queues for business travel. The trip will be just few days and I travel light. So I try to minimize airport time and stamps.

My recent experience with KUL airport is bad, Malaysian airlines check in + immigration took me more than 1:30 hours. Was so tired standing in line 🙁 Even arrival is almost same so much time for immigration.

Tomorrow early morning I'll be going to KL. 2 weeks ago had a wonderful conversation with immigration officer. Shall see tomorrow how it goes. Just filled the MDAC at the last moment.

Is mdac a new thing ? I never filled any form before. Maybe started this year ? Last yr i went to kl 4x times. Immigration officers turn the passport pages and did stamping. No talking required even. Only 1 officer talked just because i started the conversation about genting casinos. We even show each other our kid pic on mobile screen.. as he saw my mobile and he said i saved the pic on my mobile also.

Thinking of visiting sg early next yr. Thinking go to mumbai for a week or so before my travel date. So we can apply for sg visa with an agent then tour mumbai for few days till we wait for our visa. This will save us time for courier of our passports. Before - sg visa took around 15 to 18 days (total time from sending passport to receiving with visa). Dunno why they need original passport for a evisa.

And sg and india just completed 60 yrs of mutual relationships. They cant even do a quick and easy visa process.

That's strange, Its been there since long. Sometimes they don't ask for MDAC. Just stamp passport.

Exactly, almost every time I cross Indian Immigration, they say to enroll for the next time, I will try to avoid it as much as possible.

MDAC has been there since Jan last year... I went on Jan 5 around and had to fill at the airport at their kiosk, it was a situation to remember, lol.
