The most rewarding debit card! PNB Imperial RSDC

shazansalim

TF Buzz
Today, I’m sharing my experience of getting the PNB Rupay Select Imperial Debit Card — and honestly, this isn’t just another debit card, it’s one of the most rewarding ones currently available in India.

Let me start from the beginning — I had applied for this Debit Card recently (the only reason I opened an account with PNB) The benefits and vouchers that come bundled with the Imperial variant easily exceed ₹16,000 in total value (maybe even more, I haven’t done the exact math yet!).

What makes it even more interesting is that PNB allows up to two add-on cards, meaning you can actually have three Imperial Debit Cards linked to a single account.

Although a few posts on Technofino already discuss PNB’s new debit card lineup, I wanted to make a dedicated thread exclusively for the Imperial Debit Card — so that anyone planning to apply or looking for real-world experiences can find everything here and discuss their queries directly related to this.

Eligibility: You need to open a basic savings account with PNB (Unnati savings scheme). Then you have to transfer 1 lac into the account in order to be eligible. I have enquired from the people already holding the cars that the balance does not need to be maintained, also PNB does not have any non maintenance charges. If you think any debit card
beats these benefits in the pics shared, let me know!
Only offline application possible.

@shazansalim Good post explaining the account/DC application details.

To make it more helpful, can you add the timeline as well to the OP? Like when did you open the Unnati account, got it upgraded, applied for DC and add-ons? How long it took to get the primary and addon DCs? etc.
Also add the card bin details (first 6 digits)

i set the pin from IVR
then next day withdraw money from ATM using same PIN
still did not activated/
Should i have generated PIN from ATM?
it will work, don't know what happened

Try to set pin through app again.
  1. Follow the steps in PNB one app to get otp/get otp by clicking Green pin otp under debit card services in PNB what's app banking
  2. Enter card number, Expiry, CVV & otp to set Green pin for DCin PNB One app

if card is still not activated/showing like "no active debit cards" then you have go to branch & ask them to activate you DC

Just now it's started showing in app too, I don't know what happened, probably have to have more than2 days after physicallly using card
Generally it's 1 day after setting pin.

i used to activate the DC before delivery only, we know bin [ 8 digits ] & middle 4 digits are same as previous imperial DC / incremented by 1 or 2 & last 4 digits are seen in whatsApp

Expiry is 7 years from now & otp can be requestes through whatsApp..

By these i activate DC before delivery, so that i can use DC immediately after delivery [ will see CVV on Card ] , this is important if quarter end is coming, we can't wait until DC gets activate delay

Edit : But now, looks like they have added CVV part, before there was no need to enter CVV to generate green pin.

But when I track on speed post it says on consignment with this number. What the F**k?
Should I visit branch again?

it's speed post you need to wait 2 more days, then only we can track , it is common in India Postal Service.

Sometimes, we were unable to track also, in b/w they deliver in our homes
