Slice Credit Card stuck with courier, RTO in transit – Should I activate online?

I need some advice regarding my Slice credit card:

  • The card was dispatched on Oct 1st, but it’s still stuck with eKart courier and the latest status says “RTO in transit.”
  • I’ve already raised a ticket with Slice; their support keeps saying they’re “working on it,” but no real update so far
  • I’m not sure if it’s wise to activate the card online before it is physically delivered or if I should wait. I was planning to activate it and keep minimum limits so atleast its activated and in the meanwhile i could sort the physical card delivery.
  • I’m also concerned about the so-called 30-Day Activation Rule – where the bank is required to close the account within seven working days if not activated within a certain number of days.
    • Does anyone know if activating online (without the card in hand) triggers the start of this window?
  • Has anyone else dealt with a similar courier/RTO issue with Slice or any other bank and any advice on expediting delivery?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I had a similar experience with my Super Money credit card. It was repeatedly routed to an unknown location, and every time I contacted their support team, they kept saying they were “working on it.” Eventually, I had to file a complaint with the RBI, and after three months, my card was finally delivered. Until the card was delivered, I used it only for UPI transactions and online purchases, with POS, ATM, and tap-and-pay transactions disabled. After receiving the card, I enabled the other transaction modes. You can consider doing the same.

I have faced similar RTO Issue. My slice card card was shipped with delhivery. But, it got returned when it reached nearest delhivery center to my town. It returned to capital city of my state, then i have mailed them and lodged a complaint on NCH Portal. After 4-5 days it was delivered smoothly to my communication address. The Support team of Slice is fantabulous, they helped so much. I guess the problem is due to the Courier company, Slice has no role.

I also received it after sending around 8 emails and waiting for 45 days. I think in ur case complaining on NCH portal made slice to respond faster, but in my case i got the same usual copy paste mails for 40 days
