Amex Platinum Charge upgrade

Got an offer to upgrade my Travel Card with the following benefits:
120k points + 20k Air India voucher.

Sounded worthwhile so called up their helpline. Learnt that this is only valid on upgrades (meaning Travel Card gets discontinued) and they have stopped using new Travel cards! I think for the long run, it makes sense to hold on to the Travel Card and NOT opt for the upgrade.

Any thoughts?

Correct don't pay for platinum charge

Continue with platinum travel. Unless we get some further update from Amex as to what they are upto in coming months.
