False Credit Card upgrade

Getting calls from Axis bank regarding Limit enhancement and card upgrade offers.

Initially thought was a good deal and tried to check in the app - whether an upgrade is available(it was not= no LE, no cc upgrade)

Agent told me - this is not the process, you are new - we will guide you.
1. Open the axis bank app
2. on the homepage itself - from Apply now section - select credit cards - navigated to the new application page
- Told the agent this is not an upgrade - this is the new application I don't want to do that.

Again agent told - don't worry -
1. Go to existing credit cards
2. Select the card you want to upgrade
3. on the top left - click on 3 lines - new hamburger menu will come up - select Apply now option
4. select 1st option - credit cards - the agent is telling - now we will upgrade your card - go through the process as I guide you

In the name of card upgrades - agents are making us apply newly for credit cards - Why?

Search for the number in Truecaller. If it does not appear as Axis bank, you have likely received a call from a credit card agent and not from the bank.

Yeah. That's exactly what happened to me. The lady disconnected when I told her I already have 3 cards from axis 🤣

Just wanted to add I got 3 or 4 automated sbi card calls today for simply click since I already hold sbi cb card I cut those calls

To meet their sales targets. They will have this as Credit Card sales and they earn commission on that. so never do that unless you need them. I have got same calls for about 3-4 times as this is FY end.

Yep got 4-5 calls from axis agents for this.
