you can use ICICI fastag to pay at petrol pumps and reduce credit card spending, may save some money on fuel cost also by loading to fastag at discount

bajaj fin wallet, incl promo cashback, can be used for fastag (I have ICICI) recharge but not for CC bill pay
After new update, convenience charge of 2% is applicable for Bajaj wallet load via cc. However they have reduced charges for wallet to bank transfer which was somewhere around 3% initially.

Today I tried scanning the non Paytm QR code (don't know which QR code it was as it was generated on PoS machine) via Paytm app.
It did not give an option of making payments via wallet, instead asked for UPI reactivation (I have deactivated UPI on paytm)
So I guess this system of PPI via UPI is not in effect as yet.

Yes it's not yet rolled out. Also, merchant needs to enable that payment medium.
