You need cards that will show you exact codes on statement.
For eg:
OneCard will show you a category but not code.
The statement for the HDFC Millennia Prepaid Card will also include the mcc code.
Magnus will show category in the statement.

To see these, perform a 1rs transaction on the xyz site or the abc pg.

Flipkart Axis, My Zone cards are also showing categories on the statement. I think all axis cards will show.

The Millennia prepaid card is not available for applying now. I have ordered a HDFC Smart vyapar prepaid card for this.
I will update this thread once I receive it.

If you have a Citi or Amex CC, you can do a transaction on their card, and just call customer care and ask them to tell the MCC for a particular transaction, they will easily tell you. Done a number of times in past with Citi, and my friend always does with his Amex... Indian banks, generally don't tell (or maybe their cust care is not skilled enough to know how to check it).

Can you also check for education payment on cred

Check spend analyzer in sbi card apps, you can see the transactions history as pie chart along with category. Though category is not much useful. It shows gyftr GC as stationery category 🤪

Tag me if it works.

I have made transaction on Flipkart with SBI cash back card but didn't get 5% cash back. I have asked for MCC of transaction with customer care agent on call but they gave number 096461. Generally MCC will have 4 digit only na? But customer care agent is claiming that this one is merchant category code. Can anyone help?
