I was holding 3 SBI cards - Elite, Simply Click & FBB. FBB was converted in to simply save card by SBI. I heard that SBI also have 3 cards per person policy so I requested SBI to close Simply save card. They took request and transferred its limit to other card. Now they are saying card is in inactive state but I can see still it into my portal and they are saying they cant remove card due to their internal policy. I have escalated this up tp PNO and got same reply - so is it ok to keep it as it is or should i write to RBI ?

I too have my very first sbi card listed in app but I had already ensured that my cibil report showing it as closed account card. Then nothing to worry much. But yes SBI not removing closed card entry from portal or app is most annoying to me as well.

As many cards you will hold SBI cards in your life, even if it will be closed. It will not remove from app drop-down menu.. the list will increase from 3-4-5 as you close and add new cards.

For me i also changed cards few times only first card entry remained all later 3 cards got removed from listing once they got closed but yes one thing to note all these cards were under single account.
