Axis Magnus Axis Edge RP to CV points, still worth?

I was trying to book flights on vistara website for travel in August.
while the cash options show nominal prices, the equivalent CV point requirement is almost 2x-3x!
eg, one way Delhi to Banglore costs 6k cash OR 18k CV points, which is exorbitant!

I saw the same for 4 different sectors on which I normally travel and found the same, all including either of Delhi/Banglore!

I wish to know if others are also seeing the same behaviour for other sectors?

and if so, what could be a better value for money for redeeming axis edge RPs!
Have almost 1L RP and thought of converting them to CV points but seeing the above devaluation, I’m starting to doubt if it is really worth?

So now, What are some other options to get maximum value from edge RP apart from flights?
or how to maximise returns from edge reward points?

What devaluation are you talking about?
August is filled with holidays, even rail in some routes is already all waitlisted with hundreds of people. Awards have limited amount of seats based on category, so these will go first.

Also it seems you're comparing economy fare vs business class award pricing.

I see same behaviour for September 13 which is mid week!
and I’m not comparing Economy with Business, it would be comparing apples to oranges!

Im comparing Economy Standard fares!

For September 13, I.e., Wednesday,
the comparison is as follows -
Sector: DEL-IXC
Economy Standard - costs 3.7k-5k INR OR 9k-11k CV points 🤷🏻‍♂️

So does that mean we should plan 6 months ahead to get fair deal?

Oh, thanks a ton!
yes, I was checking out Cash + CV points combo!

Relieved to see normal CV points for booking!

I‘m wondering why the Cash + CV points combo show such exorbitant prices?
I thought Cash + CV points section would show options and out of which we could select either of Cash or CV.
I didn’t bother to check CV points only section earlier.

For sep del-ixc is 2k CV and taxes
And for August Del-Blr, I just assumed 10th, is 7.5k. Both I think are a good redemption value. 🤷‍♂️

Axis has already announced it is a temporary problem with Accor and UK. There’s is a banner on the TravelEdge that says this is a temporary problem.

Given Axis’ partnerships with UK and Accor that go well above and beyond just a miles transfer partner these aren’t going to go away any time soon.

I’m not sure how many used accor and others!
But one thing I’m certain is majority would be dependent on Vistara!

And now that being gone for time being, a lot of people would be in conundrum of what to do with collected points!

And if that remains the case, Axis might see a good bunch of people not renewing the card!
