It depends upon the qr code, i have observed if the qr code is of murchant category, such as paytm murchant qr, you can very much use through rupay scan. But at the same time, even at few showrooms who have phonepe murchant qr, the payment didn't go through.... the reason was sighted, you can not use cc for this payment...when i enquired whether is this not business qr? they said, its phonepe murchant qr
If vendor linked their savings account we can’t pay if it’s their current account qr payment goes easily
last week i paid everything from Rupay tata neu card and it worked everywhere from tea stall to wet n joy , 100% success. where else a nearby to my gym a vendor for snacks i brought something and CC payment wasn't allowed so it hit and miss is there just try if it failed with that vendor/merchant then use cash or UPI

Not true probably. I have paytm merchant account linked with savings account. I was able to receive payment via axis iocl rupay cc.
To pay on shops having PhonePe QR codes, pay using PhonePe by linking your RuPay CC. It works.

Someone Mentioned here that it will work only on p2m Merchants QR not on p2pm Merchants( whose monthly Transaction value received is less than 50k )
this is not true I have registered myself as a merchant on paytm, i tried making a payment it went through but did not fetch any neu coins, you get neu coins only for select merchants(not sure what the exact criteria is).
For my Paytm merchant Neu was failing
For the convenience of the merchant they have an option for enable or disable RuPay credit UPI
I think it has something to do with the new payment rules where by merchant has to pay MDR like charges for collection of payment via PPI. Credit cards are also considered for that charge to be collected. So all the merchants have accept the T&C to be able collect from PPI cards via their QR codes
I dont think so. P2P will always go. P2M needs to be first accepted by merchant since they have to pay charge to accept the payment via PPI.
Basically if you are transferring from your bank to the merchants bank its going to work with out any issue. If you are paying from PPI or wallets or credit cards the merchant needs to accept payment of MDR only then he will be able to collect it
I feel this is a hoax to move everyone to rupay Credit cards. Finally, all these cashbacks will go away.

P2P - peer to peer - rupay credit card to bank account is not allowed. When you scan P2P QR, the credit card option won't come in paytm atleast. Bhim shows error, you can't transfer to saving account
P2M - peer to merchant - rupay credit card to bank account of merchant is allowed. I think saving/current doesn't matter. No idea about when we get reward.
There is not link with saving account or current account.
Your UPI QR must be registered under business category, that's it. You can add any type of account on your business UPI QR.

No, i have used it on plenty of street side vendors none of them got rejected over 10+transactions for like bajji to curry leaves in small market

That problem is infesting Phonepe Merchant QRs. Phonepe now allows Rupay CCs to link in their app but can't allow change to their systems which will enable any merchant QR to receive Credit UPI
