How do I make my account HDFC preferred account. I have millennia debit card. And what are the benefits of having preferred account.

Oh Okay. How do I open a savings max account as I don’t think I can open it online. Should I visit the branch? I have a millennia card with a 5k minimum balance. Can I upgrade now?

you will need to fill a form in the branch. Basically tick the option for savings max acc.

As for your first question, if u generally have 2L+ balance in ur savings acc or have good spending , you'll auto get that offer to upgrade to classic or preferred. I have preferred and trust me, no difference from savings max.
Only advantage is that u can add extra members from ur family and extend ur benefits to them i.e. they will be in the same family pool as u and can have 0 balance accounts

assuming u can keep the 25k min balance, get savings max. It removes all other charges like debit card charges or sms charges etc.
Only downside is that if u drop average monthly balance below 25, u will have some charges.
U can upgrade anytime if u go to ur branch and sign that form with savings max acc upgrade ticked.

Savings Max new account can be opened online. Don't know if upgrade of old lower level account to Savings Max is possible without visiting branch.

I don't have but will be upgrading to Burgundy in few months
Currently I have priority (one step below Burgundy, 2L MAB) ... Burgundy is 5L MAB

Then your criteria is to keep minimum 10L in your account for around 3 months.

so you say from priority if you upgrade you need to maintain only 5lakh AMB ?

For new account, it's 5L initial deposit. For old/existing account holders, it's maintaining 10L+ MAB for around 3 months.

What happens to LTF Select if you close your burgundy account?

It is LTF only if u maintain burgandy status. Otherwise it will be back to chargeable card.

@anirbanm Living In His Dreams And Saying 5L AMB For Axis Burgundy… Brother 5L /Anything Less Than 10L Can Only Happen If You Have Good Relations With The RM / Bank Staff / Bank Manager.
