SBI refusing to refund forex charges

Hi,

I recently transacted on booking.com and was charged twice for some reason. The hotel was also booked twice with same details. I had cancelled one booking to get the refund.

Now, SBI is refusing to refund the forex charges + gst that was charged for the refunded transaction. I even escalated to their nodal officer and they declined to reverse the same.

Is this expected? Can I reach out to RBI BO?

Unless a transactional refund (network issues and refund by merchant), they will not refund it. They will treat it as 2 transactions.

But give it a shot. If the disputed amount is less than 1000, then I would forget and move on. My time and inner peace is more important.
