I have a hdfc preferred ac, ac is only 3 months old.
1)How can I get regalia pre approved offer & how much time will it take approximately?
Currently I am maintaining 2.5L
2) Is true that regalia ltf is issued only if we apply via income route or c2c?

Currently I am having a basic account but now i am going to maintain 15 Lakhs to upgrade my account , so how long should i maintain to upgrade my account and make it 0 balance account .
Once, you have the required amount in your kitty, you can raise a request to upgrade your account with the branch staff.. no need to wait for the bank to upgrade..

Once your account gets upgraded, it never becomes 0 balance account officially .. rather it becomes a " Pseudo " 0 balance account, in the sense that they will give you notice before they downgrade and no charges for not maintaining the required threshold for an extended period of time.
To avoid this scenario, it helps if you could maintain sort of the required amount occasionally, preferably during month end or quarter end for a few days..

Hope you understood the gist of it..
Happy Sunday..

Update: Now they are offering regalia gold/DCB.
My question is the limit on net banking is showing as upto 5L so in case I apply for regalia gold will I get 5L? as the floor limit for regalia is 3L and 5L for DCB
Not necessarily 5L as you yourself figured it out , it would be between 3L and 5L..
I would tend to say more near the 5L ballpark..In the next LE, you would likely to breach 5L basis some aggressive spends...

Yes, Thanks

Why can't it be DCB??
Because his original question to my reply was this:

Hmmm ok. But still its a guess until he confirms it. He might've changed his mind.
True, until he confirms it is guess only from our part..
but when he said "Got 5L luckily" means if it had been DCB , the floor is 5L anyway.. then there is no luck invloved here..
hence my guess is Regalia Gold..

I know what you mean and I also did realise that by writing 'LUCKILY' it would mean Reg Gold but was just curious and wanted him to confirm what he got. The reason why I am taking interest here is because I went through the same tedious HDFC cat and mouse game of offering lower variant paid cards then incresing limit then making them FYF then LTF then offering higher variant and repeating all the above mentioned steps. I had my reasons at that time so didn't wait for better card and grabbed when I got offer with increased limit and LTF for Busi MB. However, now I want better variant and have requested them through email. If they don't agree then I am thinking of closing my existing card and start playing this stupid cat and mouse game again.

Thanks for detailed information..
I am also in a similar situation, but in the early stages of this cycle..
The key here is not to take the first card until we like both the variant and limit and hence I am also interested in .

Once the first card is taken, then HDFC is not interested at all and only exceptional spend and/or exceptional ITR are only our weapons

Yeah. I knew all this beforehand, but as I said I had my reasons. I need your suggestion, if I close my existing card will I start getting pre approved offers again in my net banking portal? Do you know of any case where someone had been successful in obtaining better cards this way?

I read that after 6 months of closing card we again get pre-approved offers..
