Maximum Length of Cardholder Name on Credit Card

My recently renewed HDFC Signature VISA CC is missing the last letter of my name; i.e. the old card had my name as ABCEDFGH IJKLMNOPQRS but the renewed one has ABCEDFGH IJKLMNOPQR. HDFC says they can emboss only 19 letters, but my VISA DC (also recently renewed) has my 20 letter full name. What's going on?

Yes. It's FirstName (8) + Space + LastName (11)

Okay you need to change your username. You are not aam aadmi you're special.

Tbh it doesn't really matter as much as well

Infact having different names on different card might also act as another authentication layer.
