Is cleartrip reliable for international hotel bookings?

I booked a couple of hotels in Thailand (Phuket & Bangkok) using HDFC Smartbuy with cleartrip as the partner. Could anyone with experience tell us if cleartrip is reliable? Has anyone experienced any hitches?

Okay, let me partly answer my own question - I messaged both hotels. One has replied in the affirmative - it seems that Expedia serves as an intermediary.

Almost all Indian OTAs use Expedia as an intermediary for international hotel bookings. Cleartrip was recently acquired by Flipkart, so you don't need to worry about reliability. I book most of my flights on Smartbuy through Cleartrip, and I haven't faced any issues.
If you are worried about the veracity of the booking, you can always mail the hotel and get a confirmation.
