So Hey There!

A bit new to credit cards & stuffs. I want to keep it a bit brief so jumping straight ahead, I am 18 years old. Recently I started to apply for a lot of credit cards, BNPL and stuffs. Which ended up in 17 inquiries (Yep now I know how F***ed up it is), 1 IDFC Wow card (secured) and Flipkart pay later. Don't know if it matters but IDFC has a limit of 5k which I increased to 10k yesterday and FPL is 8k, also opened axis liberty last month. I basically wanted to buy a laptop on EMI and went crazy when I became eligible based on the age but turns out that things don't work this way. I currently earn 25-30k every month from some part time work. So what should I do to improve my report or perhaps avoid CCs for a while?

Any help would be appreciated so thanks in advance! 😀

Just use your current card wisely and don't be greedy good things take time.
Increase the idfc card limit to 50k if possible and just don't overspend use that cc and pay on time and after 6 months you can apply for some easily available cc's like Amazon pay or some pre approved offer from your new axis account.

If you desperately want to buy a laptop consult your parents afaik I know minimum age for offline emi is 21. And some firms do offer emi at 18 but the intrest they charge is way tooo high.

Age criteria for Apay card is min. 21.

Avoid applying any card or loan for improving cibil. Show the banks that you can use cards with maturity. Things take time but come up nicely.

Lots of card have age limit of 21 years,

Exactly.

I'll just add one thing
Use your secured card for lower value transaction like recharges and bill payments, for keeping the utilisation low,
use your Liberty debit card frequently and fall other transaction.
You will get a good pre-approved offer in this account.
Because in maximum cases you will need 21yr to apply
So go slow but steady.

//Wellcome to the credit jungle//
