Axis Magnus Magnus to Magnus Burgundy upgrade

Here is my experience with upgrading from Magnus to Magnus Burgundy. My old Magnus for up for renewal in mid December but Axis insisted that I would only become eligible for upgrade in late December. I tried to convince them to either fast track the upgrade or waive off annual fees on old Magnus. They did not agree. So I closed the card just 3 days prior to renewal. Then I applied for Magnus Burgundy in early Jan and it was approved and delivered quickly.

Not sure what to say about Axis’s policies in this regard and how much time, money and goodwill they wasted in the exercise.

Were you maintaining 3 months AQB? How did you apply?

No. I kept them as is. I am able to transfer them at 5:4 now

I had average monthly balance of 10L, but it was built in last few weeks

But why are you paying the annual fee when u can get it LTF

Having another strange issue with Magnus Burgundy. I hold a Magnus Card, and I had given my mom an Add-On card. Now I don't hold Burgundy relationship, she holds it due to her FDs and I am added to her Family ID. So after Magnus Burgundy got launched, I asked the RM what needs to be done to get Magnus Burgundy for mom, and I can take the Add-on card. He asked to first close the Magnus Add-On and then apply for Burgundy Magnus. We did that for mom in mid December. Looks like card was provisionally approved but back end team has to do some work to make this to work, something like delinking Add-On Magnus from moms Profile. But its still not done and Card has not yet been generated. Been following up with RM, Card team, Branch manager but no luck yet.

Anyone faced such issues in the past?

Can i still upgrade to axis burgandy magnus by keeping 10 lakh balance I have 50000 points in axis magnus thinking what to do please guide. Wil my points become 5:?4??

You will need to keep 10 lakhs balance for 3 calendar months atleast before being eligible to apply for magnus for burgundy.

Got this from customer care. As expected, Axis doesn't extend lower variant account benefits to higher variants.

if you upgrade your burgundy savings account to Burgundy Private savings account, then your Magnus burgundy credit card will be downgraded in future.

Note: Magnus burgundy life time free credit card is only for Burgundy savings account holders.
