Avoiding 10k payment for diners black

I wanted to avoid paying 10k fee for diners black credit card. I've mailed hdfc priority redressal to get my card ltf but they refused. I couldn't complete the milestone of 5L but it was almost near it.
Is it a wise move If I ask to cancel my card? I will take some other card maybe. Credit score is good and I qualify the eligibility criteria as well.
And will I have any problems in getting hdfc card later if I ask them to cancel ?

Is there some time left or possible to do more spends on dcb to become eligible for Infinia. I feel like if you have to pay fees better to pay for infinia as you have good spends & you get points after paying fees. Talk to branch manager for that.
If not possible, then downgrade rather than paying fees. But if your spends will be high you might require some other premium card in future so think before downgrading.
