Axis Scam Group - Spam in freetime

I received a call today from +91 7379535391 claiming to be from Axis Bank and informing me that I had a voucher up for redemption. I already knew where this was going but wanted to know how normal people easily fall into this trap. I disabled my credit cards while on call with them. To my surprise, they knew my name, PAN, first 8 digits of my credit card and how many credit cards I hold with Axis. They sent me an OTP after which I confronted them and got blocked. Axis seriously has an employee somewhere leaking their records outside.

I urge everyone here reading this post to feel free to call and spam these guys whenever you have free time.

Yup that's right! I got a similar call. They said my points are expiring and told me that they would help me in redeeming it with higher value, 44K points for 56K amazon voucher! I responded to all their queries and gave them wrong OTP for atleast 6 times 😀 They got frustrated and started scolding me !! I disconnected the call with a smile on my face 😀

Yes they do have a proper data leaking system in place and this can't be without employees involvement

When I opened my Burgundy account, within an hour of opening sms , a WhatsApp message came with apk file that download this to get your account activated
Same here but with ICICI, told me you are using ICICI Sapphiro Card, it will become paid if u won't follow the instructed steps, sent an apk file on whatsapp to install to make Sapphiro LTF, contrary to that it was already LTF in alumni offer. Had an heated exchange of "unparliamentary words" and that's it.
One thing he told me though, that do whatever you can even go to police, nothing will happen, the sheer level of confidence he had, made me think that here anybody can go above law specially in case of cyberfrauds.

nothing happens in crime world without political patronage

I have similar experience with IndusInd platinum card, last year. I never used that card much, so I was surprised when they told me that I have some 12000 reward points left in my card which is worth 5000 Amazon voucher.

When I raised this with the customer care , they told me that these are phishing call and noted my complaint. CC executive told me that they get data from lot of other sources, which seems legit because now a day thanks to Aadhar linking, it is easy to extract all the credit card of the customer.

This is the reason I never opt for automatic notification of CC dues, because all these apps always keep scanning your SMS and emails if you allow them.

Yeah it has happened with me too multiple times. It happens in batches. Its been happening for last week. This is the 4th cycle. But luckily in my case he had no personal info except my name. 1st time i received the call was just 2 wks after card activation. I didn't even transact worth 1600 and he said my 16000rs worth of reward was going to expire. 🤣

I mostly cut the calls. But once I was thinking to get some laughs. For some reason he was very interested in knowing my unused CL. When I said tell me the procedure I can claim the reward myself. He said I need to do while on the call. He asked last 4 digit of card like normal axis cc. I said I won't tell it as it's not official line. Then " his senior" called from official axis no, the one written behind my card. He said please cross check its same number written behind your card. I was Really shocked. And when I informed axis bank cc. Their response was very casual. They don't even realize how big of a security issue is this.

Guys never share anything other than last 4 digits even if call comes from official line.

this is shocking....what they do is obtain a number which is very very close to official number like just 1 number different from official number.

No it is the exact same no. 1860 419 5555. He was so cocky about it." Please check this is the official no. Now give me this details." It's still in my call log.

Normally they use personal no. But I have reCeived call from this no thrice. Last one in 4th September.
