- how much you spend for month?
- where you spend, online categories and offline categories?
- how do you want to redeem? cashback, voucher, miles
- Is it ok, non- LTF but higher benefits than fee paid.?

and most importantly..

- why do you want to keep LTF if not used?

Closing part: 2,3,4,5,6,9,12,13,14,15,17,18,19

Upgrade: Depends on above points.

Close SBI Cashback credit card

Axis Select credit card must be a good option if you have Swiggy and Big basket spends every month. I got upgrade offer on MyZone card, had to pay joining fee but got 2K worth points. 200 discount on 500 spends twice a month on Swiggy and 500 discount on 2500 bill on BigBasket. Rs 200+200+500=Total Rs 900 - Close to 25% discount just on spends of 3500 a month. Yearly savings 11K, worth paying joining fee of 3K.

Another option would be AMEX Gold Charge card, good to have in CC portfolio for high spending in case of emergency.

Nope... It was offered one year ago and I just took it. And used only 3 time for movie ticket booking.
I have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar and Sony Liv so rarely use to watch movies in theatres.
Awesome, So there is a chance to get it as LTF without Alumni offer.
They are giving me an upgrade but paid one 😗

As for closing ,i would suggest close any new ,low limit ,not so useful cards

As for upgrades, try following based on your needs -

- Axis Atlas or Vistara Signature - C2C by your Amazon Pay Card

- IDFC Wealth (You might have to close Classic card first) - C2C by your Amazon Pay Card

- Try for better cards with HDFC ,like Regalia Gold or Marriot Bonvoy Card (You can even try DCB but you need to have contacts with any branch agent)

As for New cards ,i would suggest considering adding an Amex to your mix ,consider MRCC or Plat Travel based on how much you can spend on it

You can try for Higher Axis cards ,Atlas/Vistara Signature on C2C basis by your ICICI cards

Consider getting HDFC Regalia Gold or Marriot Bonvoy, or even Tata Neu Plus(a must Rupay card)

Consider adding Amex Plat Travel if you can spend 4L on it

You can try your luck with IDFC ,might get Wealth card ,but definitely Select ,just go through how others got Wealth card to avoid making certain mistakes

Thank you for your time and assistance.
Which cards to close and which one to upgrade greatly depends on your spending habits and what are your needs like whether you prefer lounge access or cashback, etc. If you share more details, the members can add value.

Seems you are trapped into the habit of hoarding LTF cards. You may not close even if we suggest. Close all the cards that you have not used in the past 7 months.

Yaah sure. Just talk to customer care and try your luck.
I have upgrade offer for paid Emerald but I don't think it's worthy even after LTF so didn't argue with customer care.

My cousin who is a student also got Sapphire Card LTF 3 year ago without any income proof. He just holding a basic 10k maintenance account in ICICI.

3 days ago I talked with hdfc credit card SM who handles 7 district.
He was saying that I can't get LE on hdfc as my profile is already having around 28L combined credit limit on all cards, without LE they can't offer DCB black as my net yearly salary is 9L.
He suggested me to close some of my useless cards that's why I am seeking suggestions to close some of cards.

I think MMT Signature I can close as it's useless 😬
He assured me about Marriott Bonvoy but according to me it's not worthy if I can't travel frequently.
Tata Neu points are out of syllabus for me.
