Is there any app available for checking QR code linked MCC, so we can get merchant category and then pay accordingly via credit card for maximum benefits.

Which all banks did you try with this method? Won't it be 0000 mcc as the txn is not settled?

How would you check that for QR code transaction? Neither internet nor bank website will have that information rather you have to call bank and ask for that specific transaction.

UPI payments on credit card are not affected by MCCs as I believe because there's no surcharge on fuel either.

UPI payments on credit card are not affected by MCCs as I believe because there's no surcharge on fuel either.

Some banks add surcharge on UPI CC too. I can guarantee for Kotak.

Never heard surcharge on UPI before but yes wallet loading attracts some processing fee.

Amex don't know sh*t. They don't even provide mcc after tx.

I have tried this successfully with idfc and hdfc.

For successful txns they need t+1 to know mcc but if failed instant settlement so they can see code
Both for Axis Bank and HDFC Bank i can say this sure

HDFC cc doesn't charge fuel surcharge, but rest others do.
PNB, BOB, Kotak, YES, SBI.
