BOB denied credit limit increase. They say Max limit reached for rupay premier credit card. What the hell is this. Can they do that? They are asking me upgrade to paid card from LTF to get more limit

You requested for CLE on premier card. Bank denied saying max limit reached, upgrade to Eterna.
Then why did they said, they can't increase limit for Rupay Easy cc at last.

Deciding credit limit is a business decision. So rbi can't force them.

But here they are intentionally limiting cl to upsell you. So a case can be made against them. Cl should depend on repayment capabilities not card Variant. They can set floor limit not ceiling limit. Try to get them to accept that if you upgrade your card you'll definitely get cl. This will prove upselling a product which you don't want.

They are much clever than us. They never assure that limit will be increased, once u opt for higher card.

Instead they write it as "Okai, we have received ur request for card upgrade and credit limit enhancement, pls note limit enhancements are subject to approval basis of bank's internal policy and ur submitted docs"

She is bluffing. I am having Eterna with only 2.20 lakhs limit. I applied for limit enhancement. The same person replied today that I can apply only after 12 months are passed from my card account open date. I escalated to their escalation ID. They redirected back to this Pooja J from Card operations.
