Hello,

I recently got HDFC infinia card along with addon card. The card details for the addon card is exactly the same (Card number, expiry and CVV).
1. Is this normal?
2. If I change the pin for primary card, is it also changed for addon card?
3. Will I be able to use it as a separate card in Amazon/Flipkart sale?

What is the benefit of getting addon card then? (Apart from complimentary lounge access. Even for this, dont need separate card, separate priority pass is enough)
yes HDFC add-ons only used for getting extra PP
worst part we cannot enable online spend in app for add-on and even if done the otp comes to main card holder only.
so its of no use if hubby travels abroad by giving add on in hdfc to wife at home for spendings

Axis addon, although has different cc number, the otp comes to the primary card phone number.

SBI, BOB - otp comes to addon card number

All together it’s big learning to me
Never heard such
Definitely last 4 digits will change
So far renewed cards in icici citi and scb all changed with expiry
Yes, for me it didn't change. I also got an upgrade offer which I didn't opted for, but in the card preview page the last four digit of new card was visible and it was same as my current card number.

Logically it's not possible because online payment gateways will not be able to distinguish between primary and add on cards as card number, expiry, cvv all are same for primary and add on cards. So if online transaction is enabled for primary card, it will be enabled for all the cards.

Only it can make difference in case of POS transactions and ATM withdrawl as chip and magnetic strips can be different (Not sure though)
