Au Bank Digital savings account forcefully closure SMS

My family member received this SMS and email from AU Bank today

SMS:
Dear Customer, Important: Your AU Small Finance Bank A/c XXXX XXXX XXXX 1234 will be closed on 27-Oct-2024.

Email:
This is with reference to your account number ending with XXXX XXXX XXXX 1234. The Bank has observed a
discrepancy/ies of the following nature in the said account which may lead to a bank induced closure if not addressed
by 27-Oct-2024
• Unsatisfactory/inappropriate conduct of the account
In view of the above, we wish to inform you that we will be forced to close the account on or any time after 27-Oct-2024.


They have been using this account for the monthly RuPay Platinum debit card offer and didn't maintain a balance, as it is a zero-balance account.

How can AU Bank forcefully close someone's account citing this stupid reason?

Has anyone received such an SMS or email from AU Bank yet?

It averaged around 5-10 transactions per month over the past two years.

Ye clown bank zero balance account ko as a primary account use karnwana chahta hai tabhi Au Bank ko satisfaction milega. Unsatisfied Au Bank account band kar dega even 2 years old account ko bhi.

AU is the most greedy bank next to Federal, you will loose nothing... except a/c

OP said - the Bank's email says ".... /inappropriate conduct of the account ...."

That means, there is much more to dig into than what OP has disclosed here.

Unless we know the extent, nature n amounts of ALL the trxns, we do not know the actual reasons for such an action by AUB.

Let OP go to the branch, ascertain the exact reasons, share the same here, in toto, only then we can comment.

Account was dormant since april with negative balance of 180

Looks like they are on spree, received exact same email, udormant account with a negative balance of ~200rs.
