Amex sends card charge even after non activation!

Hi Guys, I received Amex platinum travel card last month. Due to low limit then I decided not to accept it. I did not activate it. After few days I got the payment request for card activation fee! I called the customer care immediately and told them to cancel it. But still I keep getting payment messages from them! I am worried that it might be marked in cibil as defaulter! Did anyone face such issues? What is the remedy for this??

Write an e-mail to customer care team. This way you will have it documented and in future if there is any adverse effects on CIBIL, you will have a proof and you can fight it out.

Telephone conversation doesn't help much.
