Does sbi cashback card give 5% cashback on booking.com

Hello everyone,

I have a 30k payment on booking.com and was wondering if sbi cashback card offers 5% cashback on booking.Com for hotel booking?

P. S. - I have tried searching forum before paying this quotation.

If MCC is eligible for 5% then it doesn't matter whether its booking.com or amzon.com, you'll get 5%.

If its 4722 (travel & agencies) then its eligible as per latest TnCs.

@VISHESH_BANSAL - is the trick of disabling online txns and making payment fail, then calling sbi cs to know MCC still works ?

nowadyas mccs changing day after day. Even if it worked yesterday, there is no gurantee it will work today. Everyday and every puchase is like new one.

Above mcc that I got 2 months back, but no gurantee, so no assurance.

Had used SBI cashback card on booking.com 5-6 months ago, got 5% cashback. Hotels catagory is not in their excluded list yet so you can go ahead with booking.

Ixigo, Airbnb and agoda are giving Lodgings mcc. So if you have atlas you can get 10% return

I dont have atlas due to high number of exclusions but I have Infinia and cashback.. The villa that I am trying to book isn't available on Smartbuy and hence opted for booking.com

Do a failed transaction and check with support about MCC. Otherwise 2 months back got 4722 MCC, which eligible for 5%, but as mentioned not sure if anything changed in their payment gateway. So, proceed with caution.

Also, Its the paper we received with our card, which we throw to dustbin without looking...

anyway, when you find the MITC (follow @panu24 process, possibly after ads if not using any adblockers), check the following line..

The Card Cashback will be rounded down for each individual transaction.
For e.g., for an eligible online transaction of ₹2,999
, the 5% Card Cashback would be calculated as following:
5% Card Cashback= ₹2,999 * 5% = ₹149 (rounded down from ₹149.95)

roundup cards: tatanue, axis ace.. beard rumors about swiggy but not sure.
