Hello Everyone,

I'm Ashish Lath, Founder of SaveSage Club - an application which lets you track, manage and optimise all your credit cards and loyalty programs in one place. It's an app made for India, with love in India.

Starting a thread for our users to share their feedback and ask any queries that they may have!

P.S. This is not a promotional thread and is only intended to gather user feedback and answer any queries that anyone may have!

I have used the app for the two weeks( in iOS), got 14 days free trial which was ended also. App's UI is simple and neat, gives crisp details on each card (all my cards are listed, haven't tried all the cards though). The app is a must have for ccgeeks, no doubts on that, kudos to your efforts.

I personally felt the subscription fee is bit high and it didn't allow me to use the app without subscription post trial period. Finally I uninstalled the app itself.

At least access to the limited features in the app like can add only up to 5 cards max or placing the ads for the non-subscribers will be helpful. Suggest you to onboard more users initially and for that refer and earn or some contests/rewards will pull in more visibility.

PS: I got to know this app when I was searching for another app named ccreward app which does almost same like savesage club and its free, have a look if you want.

Best Wishes 🙂

Thanks for sharing your feedback. You can reinstall the SaveSage app - we have moved to a freemium model with the basic functionality free.

We have many premium features on the app which are not available on any other app currently. I'm happy to get on a call and walk you thru the application.

We charge a fee to cover our expenses. When there is no monetisation, user data becomes the asset to be monetised. We follow bank grade data security and privacy.

I tried it and uninstalled after couple of hours. Few pointers for feedback-
1. It starts with giving access to my mailbox and somehow I was not comfortable with third party having access to entire mailbox. That is problem with design of such apps as mail or sms is starting point.
2. User interface seems neat and clean. But it also picked up quite few cards which were closed or upgraded months back - not able to differentiate in closed and open cards. Cards closed as long as I year back came in that list.
3. Benefits etc are displayed correctly cards independently. Some presentation needs to be better e.g. for ICICI Emerald card it showed no rewards on utility/ education in summary but if clicked it showed correctly that there is capping of 1000 rewards. Not sure if there is feature of comparing or AI based answers to questions e.g. I have to ask question like I need to make say x amount of spend on this type of spend which card will give me what and cost me what or it will help in so and so milestone.
4. Could not try recommendations as same is paid which is fair.
Just as I was typing this someone from your team called for feedback and suggested some solution to first point which not great but workable.

See the reach of TF rising day by day and who we have among ourselves right now ! 😉

Thanks Indrajeet. This is helpful.

1. Email is not mandatory anymore to use the app. SMS is mandatory on Android, not on iOS. We need SMS access to build you profile on the app and provide superior experience. This is in line with all other apps in the category.

2. Yes, the app doesn't differentiate between active and inactive cards currently. You can remove the inactive cards by using the 'Delete Card' feature.

3. We are working on improving the design. Your feedback will help us on this.

Please reinstall the app and try it out. We have moved to a Freemium model where basic features are free.

I would also love to get on a call with you and discuss in-depth feedback. Please let me know.

Thanks
Ashish

Ashish, So I am using the application and it requires UI changes is what I feel. But the feature is top notch. I can track all my RPs will all its redemption value across all my cards. I am a 4999 elite user and did a few consultation with the savesage expert It was informative. Redemptions of my points literally got super easy peasy.

Thing I liked the most was - I got one consultation by you to my surprise.

I got to know about this from one of my friend who liked this application with similar feedback.

Godspeeed! Cant wait for more features.

I logged in again after some time today to the app. The app looks better now. 2 suggestions:
- The reward point redemption calculator for AU Zenith+ is incorrect. It shows 1 point = Rs.0.25. It is actually 1:1
- It shows card fee for Indusind Indulge as 2,00,000. It is not 2,00,000
Oh, best wishes BTW. Useful service 👍

Thanks for highlighting this.

AU Zenith+ details have been corrected and will reflect on the app soon.
For IndusInd Indulge, different sources show different information and hence the mismatch. We will show more detailed fee information for this card now.

I used the app for a bit today. First impression was good. I can see most cards data are available.
Short feedback:

1. In cards, I could not see separate options for Sapphiro Amex and Sapphiro Mastercard variants.
2. In flight loyalty programs, united is missing.
3. There is no help section in app to report bugs/provide feedback.
4. A search feature would be nice. For example, I am going to spend on forex then I can just search forex, and you check from my list of cards which has lowest forex charges/best rewards on forex. Going through rewards of each card one by one is difficult when you have too many cards.
5. The pro version mentions unlimited chat consultation. Where is this chat option? I only see a chat beta feature with a bot instead of a real person.
6. Not very clear about the buddy program. How and when can I contact buddy apart from the 2 consultations in a year?
7. In available section of "Lounge access tracker" it will be better to have list of lounges and eligibility criteria in app itself instead of mentioning "Check bank for more details"

Got to know about this app via some random search on google (don't remember what I was searching 🙂 ) around 3 months back.
Have used it initially and got a call from one of your team members. Had a long chat about various aspects and how the premium model will deter users to try it out. Good to know that you've launched freemium model. I did some trials today and below are my observations.
  • I feel this app can be a good utility for credit card power users.
  • Overall App UI/UX is clean and super intuitive. Not cluttered and easy to navigate. If this can be maintained going forward (when you add more features), people will definitely use it.
  • Home Section:
    • Totals spend is mixing my credit card spends and bank account spends (for example, it includes my MF investments from bank account as well). I feel either keep only those spends which are from credit cards or at least show them separate.
    • List of transaction is sometimes confusing. Since you are already scanning the messages, it would be great if you can show the corresponding message or transaction details. For me it says there is a Spend of xxx amount on "Google". I don't even know what I purchased from google. it may be paid to some merchant via google pay. I can't even trace this transaction in my SMSs. You can check out "Fold" money app on how they manage transactions and can use some ideas from there. I use fold for my transactions tracking, and it is super easy.
  • Credit Section:
    • Out of 20 Cards, I own it detected only 15 from my SMSs/email. Below cards where not detected (there are transactions and statements for these in my email/SMSs
      • Federal Celesta
      • PNB Rupay Select
      • HSBC Visa Platinum
      • One Metal Card (South Indian Bank)
      • Niyo Global Credit Card (SBM Bank)
    • I am not able to tag my IDFC Card variant Mayura. It is not there in the option
    • Once I add a card manually, I am not able to edit/save card number (or at least last 4 digits). There is no provision to add the card number.
    • I am not able to manually add "PNB" & "Niyo Global". Also noticed these banks are not available in the list "Union Bank", Canara Bank" (though I don't any card from these banks)
    • As pointed earlier by someone, it detected all the old cards, and I had to manually remove the ones which are closed/expired/add-on cards. In the process mistakenly I removed one of the active cards and all the details related to it gone. After I added the same manually, it doesn't show me anything in the details (rewards etc.)
    • Total Rewards section: It did not fetch my Amex Reward points. I've Amex trifecta (MRCC, Plat Travel, Gold) linked to one account. But it shows 0 reward points for all of them.
    • Balance Due section: It doesn't show correct numbers. For already paid bills also it is showing as overdue. Are you already integrated with BBPS? If not, better to perform bill tracking from BBPS and show the details as SMS based bill payment tracking can be misleading. "Cred" is more reliable in this aspect.
    • Unbilled Spends section: Again, it is not accurate. It has not accounted for failed/reversal transactions as well in unbilled spends. I know it's kind of difficult to track, not sure if there is a way out.
  • Loyalty Section:
    • It would be great if you can fetch this as well from email scanning

Thanks Aravind. This is very helpful. Please find the responses below:

  1. Noted. This will be updated in the next few days.
  2. United is present - please check 'Mileage Plus'
  3. Help section should be live soon
  4. This is also WIP. A feature to be added in the chatbot
  5. Your subscription started last night. Your buddy will contact you this week and guide on this. We have a Whatsapp number where you can message, chat functionality will also be available on the chatbot soon
  6. You can contact your buddy through chat and also schedule 2 consultations directly through the app
  7. Yes, this will be visible very soon.
Please keep sharing the feedback. You also have my number, please feel free to call me directly as well whenever needed.

Thanks for the detailed feedback Amit, this is very helpful. Please find my response below:

  1. We are making changes to the expense tracker algorithm, expect some positive developments on this soon incorporating this feedback
  2. All the missing credit cards (e.g. IDFC Mayura) are being added and should be visible on the app in a week's time
  3. We don't ask for your credit card number manually currently as that's not legally permitted. We are in the process of getting necessary approvals for that, it will take a few months. Players like Cred have this approval in place.
  4. Amex doesn't send statement pdf on email and hence we are not able to auto-populate your reward points. You will have to edit and add # reward points manually for Amex cards. No player detects Amex details automatically currently other than that available through SMS
  5. Active cards once deleted will be auto picked up only when the next statement comes
  6. Balance Due section will be modified soon. Expect positive changes there
  7. Most loyalty programs are auto populated from email but some don't send statement or any info on email - for such programs, you will have to enter info manually.
Please keep sharing the feedback. We hope to help you save bog using your credit cards and loyalty programs.

Heard about this app months ago, using it since weeks now.
1. I used the ChatBot feature day before yesterday while at Delhi Airport, shown correctly for all my cards. Useful feature but looks like many other features is coming soon.
2. Able to edit my credit card bill amount which is outstanding in the app. My savings buddy says I will be able to repay my Cc bill using your app soon.
3. Your app fetched all my cards and RPs correctly from the statement.
4. I was able to redeem my RPs & transfer it into my accor points. Booked the luxury hotel using just points. I did not know this earlier. Redemptions page is super useful.
5. Convinient usecase to have my accor loyalty and other flights/hotels loyalty at one place. Before this I had no track of what all I had.

Satisfied with the product you are building.

Downloaded this app around a month ago, got a call from someone in your team, they walked me through the app and told me what all services are there, personally, the convenience your service is providing me I was happy to pay for that but the monetary benefits i saw after the first consultation impressed me a lot.
Some things i like to mention about the app are;
1. The notification and news letters, not the main reason for me to join but really started liking it.
2. The application is very easy to use and not complex, so for someone like me who takes 5 seconds to even click on a option can use it, so will others.
3. I would like to thank you for providing number of your savings buddy, they are available on whatsapp so i know the person i am talking to stays the same and has idea of my requirements.
4. One suggestion i would like to give is if you could start the bill payment on the app, it would be very convenient so i can switch from cred.

Hi,
I came across the app while having a conversation with my friends, and thought to give it a try as my friend was already a user and as he doesn't use credit cards much he had a mixed perspectives.
I downloaded the app it asked for my email access which I denied at first. As this was the first time I had heard of this app, I thought wouldn't be able to move forward because of that but surprisingly there was no compulsion of email id linking. I manually added some of my cards and it correctly showed how I can earn rewards and redeem them.
But the UI was a little too simple for me, It'd be great if it was a little more intuitive and interactive.
Also, bill payment functionality would add a lot more value.
I'll share some more insights once I explore the app more.

Not to be rude or anything
These three guys joined TFC on 9thOct 2024 (it could bea weird coincidence/my overthinking) and have reviewed your app services

Just to be clear your team or you didn't create this accounts to write this reviews right?
