In udia adhaar site there is an option to get pvc adhaar but for only for full adhaar number. There is no option to get pvc for masked adhaar. I got it printed from outside xerox/internet centers but those were getting damaged quick and ink gets disappeared quickly.

In most of the places only masked adhaar can be given as proof, can some one help me where to get high quality MASKED adhaar pvc?

Iirc, masked aadhaar has a validity of 3 months. I usually have to go to Uidai and download the latest masked aadhaar.

I doubt they would give masked aadhaar in pvc but if they do, would definitely want one!

Go to any CSC center and asked them for Masked Adhaar PVC. They will generate it on PVC.

Last week only I have taken it. It's very easy. When they are downloading your aadhar just ask them to generate masked aadhar.

I dont think the quality of the pvc is as good as what we receive from UIDAI website. they are just diong a color print on the pvc card and putting into a cover This is weak and inks are fading away with in 2 or 3 days.

I was thinking today about a masked PVC Aadhar card. And Voila! There is a thread for it.

Anyways, Masked Aadhar is generally used to give a permanent copy for KYC purposes. So it’s generally a soft copy or a hard photo copy. PVC doesn’t makes sense.
The PVC Aadhar card should only be used for ID purposes in front of any security official like at airport. So they don’t generally note down or take picture of your aadhar card and hence your details are safe.

In fact during VKYC of Amex cards, it’s instructed initially to not show our Aadhar card at all to the banking official in front of camera.

Hope this helps.

True. But I have an experieicne where people are asking for hard copy of adhaar card. Example, i visited some temple cities and the accomodation provded by temples, in the accomodation places, they are asking for ID proof. Ideally they should accept masked adhaar but they are not accepting soft copy, and they need a hard copy so they take a photo copy of it.

There are various other examples of the same.

@plastikman - Can you give your inputs here bro
You're right, UIDAI should have an option to print masked aadhaar as well.

Either of the cards show very poor scratch resistance and the print fades. Such cards have to be kept within a PVC sheath like earlier which would prevent the print from fading.

PVC as a material is cheap and easy to produce and the card blanks are usually made of PVC.
PVC being a polar molecule, the ink molecule finds it difficult to adhere to it.

ME for now, use Samsung wallet to store masked aadhaar and furnish printed aadhaar only when absolutely essential.

In fact it is easy to order a PVC card from UIDAI and if the card gets damaged by wear and tearage then a replacement can be easily obtained. Or else we can protect it in a PVC sleeve something like -

Sometime ago, I used to have same problem

Mask, PVC Card helping various way, and it has a good quality, so easy to carry and presentable

I also tried from local internet or CSS Centre but they are not good quality

Finally, I find out a shop where they print school ID card, coaching Institute ID card and office ID cards.
Usually, they have a specialised machine for PVC card printing

They have very good quality of PVC as well as printing
