The highlighted issue has been resolved by the bank/financial institution.
Another trick is to book each room night separately, one night per booking, to get welcome alcoholic drink everyday..
You get alcoholic drinks, cocktails, everything as complimentary welcome drink.

If you are staying for 4 nights, make four separate bookings of 1 night each.
Has anyone tried doing this and received the free alcoholic drink everyday?
If booking separate, then the checkout time will be earlier than check-in. Won't it be an inconvenience everyday? Or it will get adjusted as continuous stay?

I first booked 3 nights and then extended my stay by 2 nights at Novotel Istanbul Bosphorous.

I was able to see welcome drinks for both stays on the app on day 3.

That I cudn't utilise the vouchers properly is another matter.

Ishan did not get this.
Maybe because you did the second booking after you already stayed in the hotel
So it did not get merged with the first one

@drsel I did this once in 2023, and once in December 2024. Both times in Europe.

Both of the times, I made the separate bookings before my check-in.

In 2023, the digital welcome drinks vouchers did not exist, so I received only 2 physical welcome drinks vouchers, as the property decided to merge both my bookings into a single one.

In December 2024, the digital welcome drink voucher showed up in only 1 booking, and not in the other booking, which again suggests that the property decided to merge the booking and removed the welcome drink vouchers from the other booking. I also requested them on email to merge both bookings, so that my room would be the same, and I won't have to go through the trouble of checking out and then checking in again.

Of course, it could be different for you or others. People may receive 2 welcome drinks per booking (even though it is a continuous stay).

One more funny thing happened last week, when I stayed in Novotel, New Delhi (Aerocity). I had booked a 1-night stay. I received 4 welcome drink vouchers as opposed to 2! This must have been a mistake from their side. But who's complaining 🤣

Definitely, there is no consistency to their welcome drinks policy across Accor hotels.

Sometimes, when I book 2 rooms, I receive 4 welcome drinks (2 per room), but once there was a case in Fairmont, Jaipur, where they refused welcome drinks for the second room, and only gave 2 welcome drinks for my room (only for the member).

I saw vouchers for the second booking, even before I had completed my first stay.

Maybe I just got lucky, if @ishanmontella 's recounting of his experiences are something to go by.

No no you were already staying in the hotel so that's why you got the welcome drink for the second booking.

The first booking was already activated and ongoing so it could not get merged with the second booking
hence the second booking had to give you a separate welcome drink
