Hi, I m new to credit card thing, being watching finfluncers that cc are bad and u may get in to debt trap and all. However finally , I got one cc for myself, last November ‘ 24 , its Hdfc regalia gold, m not sure if its fyf or paid.
Just wanted to know from you guys if I can somehow make it LTF.
Thanks

The envelope you received with your credit card mentions if it is a paid card, or free in the same section as the limit issued to your card. You can start looking there. If it is a paid card, ring HDFC and ask them if your card is eligible for any spend-based criteria that can help convert it to a lifetime free card.

just call CC and ask if you don't get clarity in the welcome letter.

1quick question: I got my 3rd statement today. if you guys can help me understand it.
1st the gave me feature reward points where they didn’t gave me anything on utility and 2 ndly they gave me bonus points , where they gave points on utility and others.
2nd question: they haven’t deducted any joining fees yet . Does it mean FYF 😊

why are you guessing if you have paid or fyf card? Just call customer care or even better email hdfc to find out.

One general advice: most of these questions can be answered by customer care or RM.
If you still not sure, ask Q here.

Yes, they charge fee on 1st month itself…Most likely its free for you

Thankyou, I already called customer care and they said its paid, not FYF, and said if I spend 4 lakh annually then there is renewal fee waiver.
However I sent them few screenshots, where it was clearly mentioned 3 lakhs spend to get waiver. Still now they haven’t answered anything about it.
Whereas my statement has not deducted any JF yet. So m curious if its FYF or LTF.

Good that you have screenshot. You keep on emailing until they agree.
You may even spent more than 4L but that's ok. It's good to get things cleared initially
