Wrong Product Delivered - Chargback Possible?

Zed

TF Buzz
Hi all,
I have been ordering stuff from Instagram oflate and recently came across a seller (Frost&Fleece) operating solely through IG.
Ordered two products- night gown and shawl, but the delivered product(s) turned out to be a cheap quality blanket and a single sock (not even a pair lol) rather than correct gown and shawl.
Now, the company is not responding to emails or IG messages and blocking or hanging up calls.
Is it possible to file a charge back in this case? Transactions were made using Hdfc Infinia and ICICI Sapphiro.

Yes, since you didn't get what was promised, you've the option to dispute the transaction.

Take pictures of items ordered vs items received, invoices and all descriptions, you will need them.
You can call the customer care and ask them to dispute the transaction(or do it from the website directly - at least with HDFC).

Adding to this, you would need to attach the communications u tried sending to them(emails or recording of calls, tried calling logs etc).. I did chargeback thru amex once.. not sure what hdfc and icici can ask but please keep us updated..

this is the issue with lot of Insta sellers, I've had some bad experiences too sometime ago when i didn't know about credit card chargeback.
The customer care is non existent, its a complete scam/fraud.

It's a hit or miss (more miss than hit nowadays) for IG sellers. Most are fraud.
Amex is known to be pro customer in charge backs for such issues.
I am unsure how to proceed with hdfc and icici in my case since their transaction dispute form doesn't mention anything under such category.

AmEx is definitely a lot more customer friendly which is why I recommend everyone to have at least one AmEx card.
It comes in very handy when buying from shady sellers/websites and saves you everytime from getting duped!
