On a different note, do online purchases with merchants registered in these countries count? Might be easier to find an online merchant that supports it rather than a physical store.

only retail transactions are valid as mentioned above by Abhishek.

Note - Offer also valid only on JCB accept merchant, i think RuPay accept merchants will not work.

RuPay JCB Global Debit/Credit Card is dual network card. Card accept on RuPay network as well as JCB Card network worldwide.​
