Amex platinum charge hotel memberships info

Hi

Recently got the amex platinum charge card , My question is related to hotel membership

1. what is usually the validity of hotel membership, ex marriott bonvoy gold..currently i don't have any travel plan for 3 months.. if i subscribe to gold after 3 months , will i be gold for atleast 1 year (even if i close the card before).. or once i close the card - i will loose access to membership ? [same question for taj epicure and others... ]

2. i already have accor membership - shall i wait for this to expire then renew with amex plat charge.. or i can renew it now , will automatically start from when current is expiring ?

any other tips would help , thanks..

Congrats on getting the Platinum Charge card!

1. Card closed - Membership expires.

2. Accor only allows one membership at a time so it's better to apply once your current membership expires.

thanks a lot , also my accor membership expires after 6 months - so it will be ok to apply after 6 months ?

Hotel membership enrolled through plat chg is valid as long as you hold the card.

Also, shall i do it online - subscription of all membership ?

basically if i want to link hotel membership on different email id (amex account is different email id ) - can that be done ?
or i have to use same email id whichever i am using on amex ?

Using the same email address makes things a lot more easier and faster.

You can try a different email but then you would need to connect with AmEx support, verify your details, share the other email, ensure the names are same on both and then they should allow you to link them together.
