Planning a Malaysia - Singapore trip

Planning a trip to Malaysia from India
Staying there for 3 days
Going to Singapore by train
Staying in Singapore for 4 days
Then returning from Singapore to India.

Malaysia is visa freel for Indians. I understand we have to fill the MDAC. At immigration in Malaysia, for giving us the visa on arrival, they will ask for stay plan and return ticket. Is it ok if we show the train ticket to Singapore, hotel reservations at Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, return flight ticket from Singapore to India. Will this be enough?
Or, should I book dummy flight tickets from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore ?

Kuala Lumpur immigration asks nothing. I was only asked the purpose of visit. I said "tourist". Just one word. After that they'll ask you to show MDAC email. That's all.

You'll face more questions at Indian checkin counter and immigration, than at MY and SG.

Train booking is fine. No need to book dummy flight tickets.

My last trip was Malaysia - Singapore - Philippines - Singapore - Thailand - India. I showed return flight ticket from Thailand to India at checkin counter. I was asked how'll I go to Thailand, I said by train. I wasn't asked anything at immigration.

Sadly, Indian checkin counter agents thinks themselves as someone superior to even immigration officers.

have a safe trip. Just a suggestion, if you are going to SIN by train/bus, it'll take a long time and also the traffic/crowd at woodlands/tuas checkpoint usually has long queues. It is the world's busiest international land checkpoint. If sightseeing while travelling by train is not important, then you can as well go by flight. you'll avoid a lot of chaos.

I did immigration at KUL multiple times on my way to Thailand and and they did not ask any questions.

Agreed, I cleared immigration very fast in Thailand and malaysia. My interaction with officers barely lasted 5-10 seconds but in indian office asked me 3-4 questions. They act/ talk/ behave very rude lol idk why

Every damn checkin counter agent in India asks too many questions. It's very annoying and frustrating. Never faced that much questioning in any foreign country. I mean I am exiting my country then why so many question? Shouldn't it be other way round, where immigration officer will question incoming travellers about the purpose of visit and proof of return etc? but NO, everybody is chill about it except our Indian lords.

Thai immigration officer was so chill that we didn't even exchange a single word. She just pointed me at the camera and fingerprint reader with her eyes. Stamped within seconds. Same happened at indonesia immigration, not a single word spoken.

Planning a trip to Malaysia - KL+Langkawi from Chennai.
Most of the flights between KL and Langkawi don't show check-in luggage. Is there any option to keep the extra luggage safe for 2 days?

Dropped my plan to visit Singapore (too many steps to get singapore visa and I have to give passport to travel agent, so dropped for now). Planning to go to Malaysia only.

Noob question -
In my travel to Malaysia, there is a flight with layover of 8 hours at Changi terminal 1 at a reasonable rate. Same airline. Is there any need for visa for this layover. Can I roam around for 5 hours in the Changi airport (airside) without visa?

I read some articles and saw youtube videos and think no visa is needed. Requesting confirmation from experts

Yes, you can roam all terminal they are inter connected

But make sure connecting flight of same airlines and have same PNR

I have plan for Malaysia holiday tour during October 2025. Planning to catch flight from Delhi.
Visa is free for Indians. Only need to fill MDAC online for each traveler within 3 days of arrival.

Long way to go. Still searching good 5 star property at central location.

if same PNR then no need for singapore visa. you can stay at changi. please note that you can't visit jewel (the place with waterfall) without visa. otherwise, you can visit butterfly garden, sunflower garden, watch free movies, spot aircrafts and enjoy lounges have shower and haircut/spa.

and no, singapore visa is very easy to get if you go through the right agent. I got mine in 2-3 hours. collected passport next day morning.

My agent here is saying 12-15 days. Plus some form to filled in writing, give passport to them for many days etc.
Maybe will find a better agent and plan a singapore visit next year.

12-15 days is nonsense. go to authourised agent. you'll find contact number from singapore embassy website. my agent asked me to come next day, but visa was issued the same day.
how much your agent is asking for visa? and your city if you don't mind sharing. mine was issued from delhi high commission.
