My wife had an Axis Vistara credit card which was lost in the month of April 2023. The last statement generated was on April 2023 and the amount was NIL. She had an excess amount of Rs.0.99 in her credit card. We blocked the card but it is still showing active under CIBIL. We contacted Axis customer care and wrote to PNO for which the PNO replied about card not zeroised. I have attached the reply obtained from PNO. Kindly suggest me what to do and how to solve this.

Similar thing happened with me ,in my case it was 0.99 i asked to close the card, thry closed but it was still active in cibil
I contacted nodalofficer and provided my cibil they reviewed and asked for cheque details i attached ,post 2 days they sent this 0.99 back and closed in cibil

This is a question you should have asked the PNO. What is the bank's policy when you don't have a cheque book. What are the alternate options?
As you can see in the email conversation, the PNO asked to share the bank statement and I did share the bank statement. I have asked once again to the PNO based on your input. Let me see. I will update here once I receive the reply.

That is the CORRECT process.
Final Update - Axis bank credited back Rs.0.99 via bank transfer and sent my wife card statement for March 2025 showing Rs.0 and the PNO sent an email confirming the removal of the card status being active under CIBIL. Attaching screenshots. Hope it helps others too who don't have a cheque book but still wants to close their unused/blocked credit card status from CIBIL.
