It looks like they're mostly not gonna give that now.. but I've proofs of their mails stating 500₹ cashback on utility bill payments and it was received on 17th January. I'll take them to RBIO if I don't get this now. This is a scam if they're promoting something whole month and then just in the end of the month they change their policy and start eating popcorn like this 😠

For rupay DC plenty of options. For others very few, mostly impose addl charges.


Ye toh fer dhoka hua humare saath. Restriction toh baad mein lagaya pahale toh ye khud email vejke bol raha tha ki utility mein payment karo aur 500 cashback pao.

This is the only screenshot that matters (both to bank as well as RBI ).

you do realize it doesn't work that way right? let me give you a hypothetical.

As per banks terms it can take customers money at will without any notice and as it deems fit.

Customer agrees to forfeits his entire wealth both earned and acquired through ancestral wealth once the customer opens the bank account.

Banks can write what ever they want to in their terms as long as they are not illegal.

As for the above snippet, yes, bank may change it's terms but it won't be legal to apply such terms retrospectively. They can not simply say we changed terms today so your previous transactions won't fetch cashback. That'd essentially amount to dealing in bad faith.
 
I Paid CC Bill on 7 Jan, Setu ₹2531 & Unipay ₹15163. Received CB of ₹126.

Sent an email to PNO with Unipay transaction details for the balance cashback.
 
we can complain to rbi ombudsman because hdfc did similar thing when they stoped giving cashback on their bill portal for cc bill pay so rbi asked them to give cb to ones who paid cc bill on hdfc bill portal before their new t&c...
 
No ..people have not got the cb for the bb payments made on sbi unipay

I have lost 500

They. Changed tnc ..bill payment categories are now excluded
 
Ya. It will be considered as cheating unless they credit the cashback for eligible users till 28th February+ 2 days as it's not a 30 day month (as per their t&c).

You are confusing "voluntary" offers with "non-voluntary" offers. Voluntary offer can have as many illogical conditions as they want because nobody is forced to use that offer. Also, no such condition is there in T&C of any bank account opening in India because writing that would be illegal for acc opening but same condition works well for offers related to cashback/rewards because kotak is not forcing you to use that offer.

That is why rbi & many other regulatory agencies do such poor work when it comes to their core responsibilities, not sorting out their priorities correctly. A few years ago rbi also used to get involved in ppl complaints regarding credit card approval cases (coincidentally hdfc was also prominent there as many ppl whose cc application rejected complained to rbio & got the card approved) while around same time thousands of ppl lives were getting destroyed because of illegal Chinese loan apps & even today online fraudsters scam crores of money every day using mule accs opened in banks with full kyc & online wallets. Instead of focusing on its core jobs of protecting people "hard earned money" it is instead happy just sending sms & online ads mostly in English to warn ppl not to share OTPs etc when ppl do need to share OTP genuinely in many cases (official bank RM or official cc application over phone etc) instead of focusing on blocking mule accs from receiving & transferring lakhs of money suddenly by issuing clear instruction/guidelines about sudden money inflows/outflows in accs opened with certain profile & more strict criterion for full kyc online wallets funds transfer. Let's see if rbi get involved this time because if it does then it shows rbi still hasn't sorted out its prorities yet.
 
In canara sethu when I enter 811 card details and click proceed , I keep getting the error in screenshot( from past 2days)

Don't use 811 for Setu. Use it for your daily expenses instead, as it won't work on setu for now, at least.

I am having multiple Rupay Cards. What are the options? Please let me know
