First time went through
2nd time, failed but money deducted as well
3rd time, failed but money not debited. So I stopped

Canara Setu website - you need to complete your payment within 2-3 mins and dnt leave your web page or go to any other browser tab, dnt minimize your browser etc otherwise your transaction will failed.
Anyway, you can use other apps for SBI Virtual RuPay DC - Phonepe app, freecharge app, SBI Unipay, Billdesk and many other websites/apps available.

Just try after some time or tomorrow, nothing new. this is normal issue on SBI.
Also apply through yono app.
But for paying using rupay dc, need to reach payment page first. Initially was getting error of ccavenues now getting maximum limit has been reached.
Use a different phone number to log in to Setu to bypass the error

Only RuPay DC reach payment page on Canara Setu.
if you get this error "you have reached the maximum limit"
Just login with new mobile number & Canara setu will allow 1 time payment.
Login with new numbers everytime.
This error will removed after 7 or 8 days
Note - Alternative use Phonepe app. Freecharge also supported but personally not verified yet. No extra charges for RuPay DC.

Regarding setu allowing 1 txn only for 1 accnt, I don't think it's true. With new accnt (4th one) , I had paid 3 bills. 1 each on every day.
Which dc u have used visa or mc?
Don't have another numbers. So aapki advise se ab phonepe with first tap.
Login to Canara Setu, Click on "Transactions".
Wait for this Pending to fail. Until then it will show Limit Reached Error.
Don't keep trying with Visa/MC in case you don't want to reach at this stage. 🙂

Yes for time being it is dead but they will fix it. Also sometimes the status don't change to failed at all. Some of my txns in Dec still has status initiated.
@NAB said, you will get limit exceeded error till the status of txns don't change to failed. It takes 3-7 or 15 days also.
Use phonepe for other visa/master cards now but has charges or have Rupay vairant DCs which dont charge conv. fee.

what is the MCC code for phonepe credit card bill payment.?
The Setu isn't strong enough to support heavyweights like VISA/MC.
On the other hand, RuPay is still a lightweight (even if Abhishek012 doesn't agree), -- so it is still OK for the Setu. 🙂
Fixing the issue by strengthening the Setu (even if that is deemed an option) would entail, for a public sector bank like Canara, calling for tenders and what not, requiring y e a r s....
The budget would shoot up, and the whole thing would be liable to be scrapped when Canara is put up for privatization. 🙂.
