Autopay Triggered automatically pay bills

What I understand till now, including the post of @RAMESH BABU N

1. Biller and bill should get registered for auto pay mode. (SmartPay Enabled should be there).
2. The amount paid should match the amount of bill.
3. Wether we let it go on auto mode or press button may not matter. This is my experience.
4. And it would not ask for OTP for sure. For PIN, I need to recall.

Now to be seen is that is this only for Speciale Gold accounts or for all in general.
As Ramesh Babu said this in Jan, I also have history of Jan and Feb getting reward points.
Was not getting reward points till Dec 24 on previous debit card. Though above criteria were being fulfilled then also.

I tried till December. didn't got. So changed my DC to millennia since then never tried.

As far as I know HDFC don't differentiate merchant name (rewards) based on account variants. Gold rewards and platinum rewards are same, their redemption and accumulation are also on same line, erstwhile gold cards has been discontinued now.

The main thing that I got from ur post that now hdfc taking ccbillpay under smartpay. Earlier they didn't. I know initially they took for some, later stopped. Like many others I have been using hdfc billpay since 2022.

Dobbiee enabled it by plt card.
Doubts are

1) suppose your paying some cc bill whos last date or due date is 25th March, and bill got generated on 10th march.
Now for you autopay was done on 25th march on the end date or before end date
If so- how many days payment was done before.

2) You got intimation on how many days before.
If u were intimated for autopay then what is the payment date??
Same date or gap is there from intimation day

3)Does its asks permission before paying or without our involvement completely pays. Or any one calls you for approval.

1- If due date is 25th March. Then bill would be paid by 21st March. 4 days before.

2.- 2 intimations would come. First one within 2 days of bill getting generated. 2nd one around 19th or 20th of March to keep sufficient balance.

3. No permiasion required. It would get paid automatically.

If no proper intimation by 28th Feb, 6 pm, stop the payment. Thats a safe bet.

If you let it go, most likely it would be paid by 2nd March morning.
Though they say 4 days in advance which is 1st March.

Depend on usage. If your only concern is cb, then millenia might be safe and secured option.

But esp has other benefit. Higher cash/shopping limit etc. If you use dc to swipe in offline shopping, then also esp might be better
