DCB HDFC denied DCB Metal upgrade

I have escalated to both grievances email and pno for upgrading my millenia to dcb metal. But both have denied the same despite meeting the eligibility criteria for the card.
I have salary slips > 2.75L after taxes pm for last 2 months. For December I don't have a payslip since I switched companies, but still got a generous full & final settlement in the same month.

How to escalate further?
1. Should I raise this RBI Ombudsman, since they've not shared the reason for denial despite meeting eligibility criteria as per their t&c and address that they've created a false narrative of exclusivity of the card and use predatory practices to get customers.
2. Reply them to close my existing cards and eventually move to icici?

You cannot upgrade a hdfc card by having the salary via email. You need to get approvals from the higher teams via your RM/BM for that.
To get upgraded, you need to meet the limit/spend requirement of 5L/5L in the last six months or cancel the card you have right now, wait 6 months and then directly apply for DCB Metal using your salary slips.

Your current limit of the card should be higher then 5L. 2nd option try directly via BM, since you have the required salary.

What's your existing CC CL ?

You are eligible on basis of new application and not upgrade possibly. Or your most recent upgrade was within last 6 months.

The way forward is through RM / BM. They will eventually close the existing cc and place a new application with your salary slips for the card.

Existing cc limit is 2.2L, RM is useless. Bothers only about selling insurance to me.

Why dont you try mailing to pno for increasing CL; stating the reason as high spends and potential impact on credit score.
Salary can also be shared for this.

See I don’t think you can get a dcbm with a meagre 2.2L CL, so better to increase that before asking for anything else

Did you give last 3 month salary slips with > 2.75Lpm? If not they dont generally approve.
For dec didn't got the salary. Got final settlement from prev org which was > 7L. For January didn't receive the full salary as I joined after a week of start of month, which is reflected in salary slip as number of working days.

Can try that, but don't think it might be useful, last time when I asked for upgrade from neu plus to infinity. They themselves first increased the card limit then upgraded the card.
So if they can do the upgrade then they will eventually match the card limit.
