Kotak Mahindra Is Bank Now Accepting New Credit Card Applications(Edit:- Still Under Testing)

Kotak Mahindra Bank has reopened credit card applications following the RBI’s ban lift.


Customers can apply online at cards.kotak.com.


Most of the cards are now available on the RuPay network.


Edit:- Applications are still under testing phase. Do not apply for cards as of now.

Update:- Received a call from Senior Executive. He stated that bank has started accepting applications from 1st April. But processing may take more time than usual.

Mine got rejected, stating I either don't meet the income / CIBIL criteria. My accounts have always been in good standing and even Kotak shows a pre-approved personal loan of 6L and home loan of 1.8 crores. 😡

then yru in hurry.. u could have waited for few more days and applied.. most of the people applied got rejected, u should have seen here that many saying the same.
only pre-approved or upgrades were only approved without any issue, rest of people either rejected or having issue in applying

You can always ask them for the reason. Some have asked Kotak to suppress their enquiry because of Kotak's system failure, etc.

In case, you don't receive a satisfactory reply with a valid reason - you can always ask them to reconsider/reapply.

Even if they have restrictions, I’m not interested in Core CC, they’re all useless to me. Only good for LTF cards. My Myntra spends have increased recently, and UPI usage too, after hitting the 1.5L milestone on the Kiwi card.

Ordered sandles worth 6k from Myntra, delivered properly but size not proper and they don't have stock with required size. Returned product successfully but "pickup message as failed during that day night", escalated to myntra because ekart number always unreachable/busy, escalated to pno (level 2), whom after 2 days called "we verified with warehouse, ur product not picked yet", since then daily received messages as "due to unforseen issues, cant pickup your product'.

Escalated again and asked who took the product, how they verified etc. but they keep on repeating (on record line), "we checked and we didn't pickup your product".

Luckily, opposite building has CC camera, delivery person bike, myntra logo pickup bag, product return image everything shared, then recieved message as "we successfully picked ur product, and we issue refund".

I rarely use myntra before this incident, and after this can't trust them anymore. If I don't have CC camera, myntra pno itself rejecting my complaint. eKart is the reason I stopped flipkart and same affecting Myntra too.

Careful if ur frequent to that website, and record everything, because they don't verify anything and can reject ur complaint making u no product, no refund.

I applied for Kotak card on 2nd April 2025. Application no is allotted. CIBIL was checked.
5th April 2025 8am: rejection mail due to internal evaluation of income/cibil is communicated. However, I have much higher income than required income and good CIBIL.
Same day, I complaint to them asking for exact reason.
Just now received call from Kotak team, their new card offering is not yet live... I told, I did through website only and CIBIL was checked and all.. She in shock, will talk to team then say the same.
Now received the written response to complaint : "We are happy to announce that we will soon resume onboarding new customers through our online channels and begin Issuing new credit cards."
Don't know why they did CIBIL check!

I also applied form my brother on 2 April same day he got the Sms that your application will be processed by 5 April but it's now under process and today he got another sms that your application is still underpass please wait for the same

My application also rejected... I guess its time to. Mail to pno then rbi... So they get banned again for doing this circus
