Hi Folks,
Has anyone tried getting the family banking service of SBI called SBI Rishtey?

How was your experience and what all benefits does it provide. There is very limited information even on their website.

Specific Use case that I wanted to ask: Can I group my account under family member's Diamond/Platinum salary account and get rupay Plat/select card issued to me without charges?

Thanks!

Sbi tells me that Platinum salary account holders family accounts opened with sbi don't get rupay dc ..only visa dc...is this correct?
@MrWick @Abhishek012

@samyakcc , @Abhishek012 No they are not correct. You can easily get basic rupay card or JCB rupay platinum card (code RPJ).

Pls note that you will not get the Rupay Select DC (SRA, SRB) for the Rishtey account. These cards are for the main salary account holder only.
I personally have Rupay JCB platinum on my Rishtey account. So, ask the bank people to convert your account to "RISHTEY" account type and then apply for RPJ card.

Rishtey is just a family banking bhai, debit card saare basic wale hi hai joh netbanking mai hai, aesa kuch special nhi hai.

nahi bhai, if we apply through offline route via branch, which highest rewarding debit card can we get for add on accounts bhai ?
Rupay platinum koi bhi, rupay select nhi milega. Ab rupay platinum leke fayda nhi. RuPay has discontinued the amazon/Swiggy offers.

Baki rewardz system is same for everyone, even a cheap 236 visa is fine.

@Hemang : Yes, Rupay select doesnt get issued on that account.... Rupay or Visa platinum cards were good as they had 2 lounges and amazon offer (rupay), but both of these have been devalued.
Indian Oil rupay Platinum (IRP) le sakte ho...maybe some more points for fuel transaction (if you use IOCL),,,, or Rupay JCB platinum if foreign markup 0 chahiye toh (in selected countries only I guess)

International transaction k liye best hai, Zero forex rate, best conversion rate and kuch countries me toh no extra ATM cash withdrawal fee.

Kabhi kabhi RuPay k 25% Cashback offer aa jaye woh alag se International spend pe.

Baki domestic me 20% upto 100 Amaozn recharge/bill payment offer and same offer on Swiggy 20% upto 100.

I think super duper higher variant accounts are not eligible for Virtual debit card. I can't say 100% for sure, but others have also faced the same error.
I don't know if Wealth accounts fall under this "super duper" classification, but Virtual DC is available, and works just fine.

I'm afraid I can't say as much for the SBI Wealth account itself however! My experience with just a regular SB account was much more satisfactory. Wealth accounts carry much higher expectations never to be realized in practice!

can a single account be covered under both CSP and Wealth account? Will SBI Rishtey be available in that case?

CSP and wealth are two separate account types and have different product codes. So, The answer is No
You can't keep your account under both product codes at the same time but you can get the benefits for both.

You can have your account under CSP product code and at the same time ask any wealth RM to enroll you for wealth program (they need to enroll your customer id on their wealth portal) if you qualify for it (or if you can work it around with the RM if you don't)

However, this way you can't get the Rupay wealth select debit card (their CBS won't let them issue wealth select card for CSP account). So what you can do is first get your account converted to wealth account and get your Rupay wealth select DC LTF and then get your account converted to CSP (and get LTF RSDC if you have platinum of rhodium ac)

If the branch agrees, Rupay Select Wealth DC can be issued on CSP Salary accounts. The CBS will not stop them from applying and the card will be generated sucessfully. Only you need to convince them to do so (bcz you already have submitted the enrolment for wealth - in this case)

I have CSP Rhodium and got myself enrolled for wealth but the CBS was not allowing them to issue wealth select card on my account (my RM did it in front of me). In fact they had 10 odd different rupay select card products and we tried them all but it was only allowing to issue Rupay select CSP Rhodium card. So I got Rhodium select first, then my RM changed the account product code to wealth account and then the CBS allowed to issue Rupay select wealth card. So he applied that and then changed the account back to Rhodium again.

Maybe if there is an approval system through which you apply then they might be able to issue wealth select card on non wealth account.

Any differences in Wealth Rupay Select and CSP Rupay Select Cards?
